EDX Limited was established in 1999 by its current owners, Kim Powell and Mary Bayne. Our purpose in life is to help clients get the greatest benefit from the Personal Properties Securities Act 1999 (PPSA).

We aim to provide the best overall solution to creditors rather than simply selling software or registration services. We are able to achieve this due to the personally held skills of the principals:

• Kim Powell is well versed in all legal and commercial aspects of PPSA. He is a former receiver and liquidator by profession, and additionally has held senior business banking roles with Bank of New Zealand.
  
  
• Mary Bayne is an Information Services (IS) professional with extensive experience coordinating and directing technology and business practices allowing organisations to operate efficiently.  Her roles have spanned large corporate environments through to small business systems.

We have built our own electronic link in to PPSR that enables efficient bulk registration and ongoing registry maintenance (including new debtors, renewal, amendment and discharge).

Additionally we have developed a software package SID (Securities Information Database) for clients which provides all the “touch and feel” of a direct link to PPSR at a fraction of the cost of bespoke development. By using SID you will greatly reduce the administrative burden of registration and most importantly – you will have a fully searchable database of all your registrations on PPSR.

We have specialised in this area since the introduction of PPSR in 2002 and during that time have assisted:
